The University of the Philippines, the premier public university of the Philippines, serves over 60,000 students and 7,000 faculty members, dependent on government funding for its operations and making it susceptible to the changing priorities and decisions of politicians. With scholarships available for fewer than 500 students and many faculty receiving low salaries and inadequate research funds, the UPAAA aims to unite alumni and other supporters of UP to collaborate on initiatives to lend support.

We facilitate the provision of financial and professional support within the UP system, assisting deserving students with limited resources, alumni seeking further education, and faculty members dedicated to impactful roles in nation-building. |

The University of the Philippines Alumni Association in America, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization based in the United States. Section 501(c)(3) is the portion of the US Internal Revenue Code that allows for federal tax exemption of nonprofit organizations, specifically those that are considered public charities, private foundations or private operating foundations.
