Every Isko, Every Iska Deserves to Finish their Academic Journey Every year, the Philippines invests in each UP student — about ₱500,000 per year (about $10,000). But when a student is forced to drop out — not for lack of talent, but for lack of financial and moral support — that investment, that dream, is cut short. The Impact of Your Donations

Great things happen when the UP community comes together! Thanks to the generosity of Mr. Donald and Ms. Christie Kawal, the UP Diliman College of Home Economics Food Technology Laboratory will soon be upgraded with new equipment: a ducted fume hood, water activity meter, three microscopes, pressure canner, hot plate stirrer, and double burners.
These vital additions will enhance the College's instructional and research capabilities, contributing to a safer and more dynamic learning experience. Mrs. Kawal (Maria Cristina Bautista Borromeo Kawal) is a BS Food Technology alumna of UP Diliman. The College was also the recipient of stipend scholarships last school year, 2024-2025, from Ms. Cynthia Umali Ramirez and Atty. Tomas Rodriguez, whose support through UP Diliman's Adopt-a-Student Program helped three graduating BS Food Technology students. Some of the ways you can support UP. |
Stipend scholarships for UP students in various UP constituent universities/campuses who need financial assistance. At least $500 for one semester, or at least $1,000 per school year. Donors have naming rights to the grant. We encourage donors to continue support until the student graduates. | International Student Assistance Grant (ISAG) for UP alums and students pursuing further education or training in the US. These programs are set up by some companies and corporations as an employee benefit. When an employee donates to a nonprofit, like UPAAA, they submit a matching gift request to their employer. The company will make an additional donation to the nonprofit.
Ask your company's Human Relations Officer (HR) if your company participates in a Matching Gift Program and the rules/regulations the company follows. Some companies even allow retirees to avail of the program.
