Our Impact

Our WHY

We positively impact lives.

UPAAA provides scholarships, financial assistance, and emergency funds.

We help UP students at 8 constituent universities across 17 campuses in the Philippines, as well as UP alums studying in the US, stay on their academic paths, and succeed.

We raise funds for short-term needs and long-term goals. UP Baguio Student Emergency Assistance (SEA) Fund As part of our on-going efforts for UP Baguio students, UPAAA has granted $2,200 to-date. Funds raised help students pay for medications, physician fees and temporary housing, as well as internet access and basic electronic equipment.

We are also actively raising $500 for a student who needs to complete their degree.

UPAAA Donor-Funded Grants
We currently have 12 donor-funded grants, made possible by the generosity and commitment of the following individuals and groups:
Ador and Cristy Colmenar; Aniano Rabe; Daisy M. Rodriguez; Francisco S. Sy; Jovenia S. and Eduardo M. Celo; Lourdes Filoteo; Naven Jornadal; Nelsie and Stephen Parrado; UPAA Arizona , UPAA San Diego and College of Public Health (CPH) Alumni.

Jazer I. A Recipient of the Student Emergency Fund for the University of the Philippines in Baguio

My heartfelt thanks to UPAAA for awarding me with the International Student Assistance Grant for 2022. The pandemic has certainly challenged me and my family as we dealt with the loss of my father. He has always encouraged my pursuit of music and has shared my dream of studying classical music. It is my goal to have an established career as a solo classical singer, in order to share the gift of music to the World, and to give back to the Philippines.
